FrostburgFirst sits down with Record Talk Listen to Discuss Arts Walk, News, & New Businesses

In a recent podcast interview, Record Talk Listen’s Lydia interviewed Main Street manager, Jessica Palumbo of FrostburgFirst. The podcast covers details of the upcoming Arts Walk and other developments taking place in the ‘Burg.

The forthcoming event, the Frostburg Arts Walk, will take place Saturday, April 23rd from 3 pm- 8 pm on Main Street and will showcase the arts and entertainment district. The event will kick-off with a public art dedication, the third and latest addition in a series of three public art projects throughout the city. The dedication will take place in front of the Public Library.

With an eclectic assortment of featured arts, the day is set to be full of musical performances, gallery displays, live demonstrations, and crafts, and will offer something for all ages.

‘There’s definitely going to be stuff for everyone,” explains Jessica, “we have twenty-six businesses participating and there’s going to be one or more artists in each place. There’s definitely a wide variety.”

The podcast also mentions new businesses gearing up to open soon in Frostburg, including Funky Repurps, a unique furniture repurpose store, and Clatter, a coffee bar focused on “doing coffee and doing it really well.”

The podcast also discusses FrostburgFirst’s recent launch of a new website, addresses what the landslide dilemma means for Frostburg and the train, and their growing partnership with Frostburg State University’s Student Government Association; a partnership that has led to collaboration, particularly on a new event, A Taste of Frostburg.
