Eric Groff recently installed a public art project on Main Street consisting of themed robots for Main Street Boooks, Zen Shi, and A Place to Eat. The robots are printed on vinyl designed for masonry, which are applied and removed using heat. The robots are small and are intended to be a surprise when you stumble upon them. This is the second installment of a series of three public art projects in Frostburg.
Eric is a senior at Frostburg State University, obtaining a Fine Arts degree with focuses in Illustration and Printmaking and a minor in Art History. His work concentrates on character and environmental design in science fiction and fantasy settings. He hopes to work as a concept artist for movies and video games and as an illustrator for comics and books.
