Calamity and Justus at Clatter

Their driving sound features guitar, bass, melodica, organ, drums, and engaging vocal harmonies. Inspired by artists like Chuck Ragan and Lost Dog Street Band, their songs explore themes of love, loss, and self-discovery.

The visit is especially sweet because some of the members were in punk bands local to Frostburg when they were younger (The Hourlys), in a vibrant all-ages scene.

Clatter is a cozy listening-room style venue. It has two adjacent sides: one is a full service espresso bar. The other is a dining room during the day, and in the evening becomes a cocktail lounge and venue. It prominently features a small stage with a sound system built for artists to sound good: to sound like themselves, but a little louder for us in the back.

The cocktail bar is committed to tradition and integrity: fresh fruit and housemade ingredients. There is one beer tap, where we showcase something we’re excited about. There are familiar bottles as well. The wine selection is small but good.

Food is available: a modest, satisfying menu of dinner items, sandwiches and snacks or desserts.

The environment is appropriate for families.
