Ninotchka

Frostburg’s Palace Theatre continues their 2019 Classic Film Series with a screening of the comedy Ninotchka on Monday, June 17, at 7:30 pm.  Starring Greta Garbo and Melvyn Douglas, Ninotchka is Garbo’s first full comedy and her penultimate film.   

Set in 1920’s Paris, Ninotchka earned Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, and Best Original Story.  The movie, released in 1939, was directed by Ernst Lubitsch and has a running time of 110 minutes.

The Palace is located at 31 E. Main St. in downtown Frostburg.  Doors open at 7 pm, with the concession and bar serving at that time.  Free parking is available at any of downtown Frostburg’s public lots.  For additional information call 301-689-5606 or visit frostburgpalace.org.
