Classy Chassis Car Club was organized in Mt. Savage, MD, in 1991 as an organization interested in cars, trucks, motorcycles, or any other vehicle that employs the internal combustion engine. It has never been necessary to own any certain type of vehicle to be a member of this club. All that is necessary is an interest in motor vehicles. Meetings are held at the Frostburg City Place on the third Thursday of each month. Classy Chassis Car Club sponsors Cruisin’ Main Street Frostburg….a 2.8 mile rolling cruise on Main Street in Frostburg, MD. This event brings hundreds of cars from the Tri-state area and beyond to cruise Main Street, to listen to “oldies” music either by DJ or a popular band, and to show off their unique ride. And the sidewalks are crowded with spectators and those seeking the latest “Cruisin’” T-shirts. This annual event is in its 16 th year and is always held on the Thursday before Labor Day. The car club is a non-profit organization that donates about $3000-$4000 annually to local charities and non-profit groups, raised from their t-shirt and 50/50 sales at the various cruises.
