Frostburg Museum

The Frostburg Museum’s exhibits tell the history and development of life in Frostburg 

See how we worked, played and were educated in the late 1800’s through the 1900’s.

Collections document Frostburg’s rich history through displays of household items, toys, tools and farming implements, military memorabilia, a replica of a working coal mine, and instruments from Frostburg’s Arion Band (est.1877), considered the oldest community band in the United States.

The Frostburg Museum also has a vast collection of photographs and other genealogical records.

Rounding out the Museum’s collections is the outdoor kiosk containing the Braddock Stone, a carved highway marker dating to the mid-1800’s which figures prominently in the area’s ties to the Braddock Trail.

The Frostburg Museum also promotes education through research opportunities and school field trips.  As a supporter of the local arts community, art shows and special events are scheduled throughout the year.

The Museum is open to the public from mid-March through December on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9 am – 12 pm and Saturdays from 12 pm – 2 pm or by special appointment. :pcated at 50 E. Main Street.
