Applications for 2024 Banners are now open!

Applications close April 26, 2024

Frostburg First, with support from the City of Frostburg, Stevens Electrical, and Frostburg Serves, is pleased to announce the third year of the Frostburg Honors Banner Project. For the past two years, loved ones have honored the community’s service members in the United States Armed Forces, past and present, by displaying banners in the Frostburg Main Street District.

This year, FrostburgFIrst is excited to add a First Responder category. If you have a  Firefighter, Law Enforcement professional, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic you would like to honor, with a banner, applications are open!  All banners will be displayed in the Frostburg Main Street District starting Memorial Day 2024 and will be removed after Veterans’ Day 2024. Once banners are removed, they will be made available to the purchasers to take home.

Did you purchase a banner in a previous year? Applications also include an option to rehang banners from 2022 or 2023 if they are in acceptable condition.

Banner Costs:

1 Standard Double-Sided Banner = $180

3 Standard Double-Sided Banners = $500

1 Double Banner (Different Honoree on each side – great for families) = $250

The cost covers the production, hardware, installation, and removal of the banners. Any remaining proceeds will be donated to FrostburgFirst operations and set aside for future programs.

Applications are open through April 26, 2024. All banner details, photos, and payment must be received by April 26 for banners to be printed.

The Frostburg Honoree should be:

1. A current or previous member of the United States Armed Forces (with an honorable discharge if no longer serving);

2. A current or retired law enforcement officer

3. A current or retired EMT or Paramedic

4. A current or retired firefighter

Honorees should be a current or past resident of Frostburg, or an immediate family member of a current Frostburg resident.

FrostburgFirst reserves the right to accept applications for honorees with other types of connections to the City at its discretion.  Applications are chosen on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum of 70 banners available. Banners are only available through purchase – there are no other means of banner selection.

If you plan to have a business or organization sponsor your banner, please contact them directly and make arrangements. FrostburgFirst will only be handling the organization, printing, installation, and maintenance of banners. We do not have existing sponsorships available.
