Frostburg Fall Arts Walk Returns Saturday, October 9!

FrostburgFirst is welcoming the beautiful fall weather with the 3rd Annual Fall Arts Walk on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 12 PM – 6 PM throughout downtown Frostburg. Artists and creators of all mediums will show off their talents and local small businesses are ready to celebrate the arts with discounts and specials. Organized by FrostburgFirst – a Maryland Main Street Community Inc., the Arts Walk is a free self-guided walking arts tour through the Frostburg Arts & Entertainment District. Artists, performers, and craft vendors partner with downtown businesses to display and sell their works during a city-wide celebration of the arts.

This year’s event welcomes over 30 local artists, musicians, performers, and craft vendors featuring handmade jewelry, handcrafted soaps, textile decorations, hand-blown glass, watercolor art, canvas paintings, photography, hand-crafted sewing, stained glass and so much more! Downtown businesses will be providing exciting discounts and Arts Walk-themed specials to attendees. Don’t miss live musical and dance performances in the Frostburg Museum courtyard and Broadway lot throughout the event. Be sure to stop by the Toasted Goat Winery (11 W. Main) for Goat-oberfest or grab a beverage from participating businesses to sip and stroll as you enjoy the vendors all along Main Street, Broadway, and Water Street! Take advantage of the free parking lot on 1st Street and take a peek at the sculptures installed during last year’s Fall Arts Walk before you stroll through beautiful downtown Frostburg to enjoy music, art, food, and good company.

FrostburgFirst is excited to announce selections from photographer and filmmaker Michael O. Snyder’s Mountain Traditions Project will be displayed throughout downtown Frostburg during the event. FrostburgFirst has partnered with the City of Frostburg to provide display space for eight high-art photographs highlighting the diverse tapestry of Appalachian traditions. Stop by Shogun Japanese Steakhouse, the fencing next to Frostburg Fiber Depot, The Palace Theatre, Main Street Books, and City Place to view! For more information on Michael O. Snyder, please visit www.michaelosnyder.com.
