Join FrostburgFirst for a fun-filled day of live music, a beer tent, a pie-eating contest, family-friendly activities, local artist and food vendors, and a backyard BBQ competition! The 2nd Annual Pig Out in the Park: Backyard BBQ Bash is on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hoffman Hollow Park, located at 11200 Hoffman Hollow Road in Frostburg, MD.

Pig Out in the Park is a Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned backyard barbecue competition and festival with live music, vendors, Victory beer tent, and family-friendly activities. This year’s event includes a People’s-Choice competition category to let the crowd decide whose BBQ reigns supreme! The People’s Choice Tasting Kit allows attendees to taste samples from competitors and vote for their favorite to win the People’s Choice Award with a cash prize and trophy donated by Funky Repurps.

Not a fan of barbecue? There’s something for everyone at Pig Out in the Park, with mechanical bull riding, a chainsaw carving demonstration with Jessie Lee Chainsaw Art, bubble soccer, a National Dance Day dance demonstration with Frostburg Dance Academy, a pie-eating competition with pies from the Princess Restaurant, and food and artisan vendors from the Frostburg area. Bands will be playing live music all day, including Savage Road, Day-Old News, and Yarn.

All proceeds from Pig Out in the Park benefit the non-profit organization FrostburgFirst: a Maryland Main Street Community, Inc., and efforts towards downtown revitalization, promoting small business, engaging the community, and making Frostburg a beautiful and thriving city to live, work, and visit. Thank you to Hamilton Relay and Grow West for their sponsorship, and a big thanks to all our sponsors, listed on our website!
