FrostburgFirst and the Frostburg Arts & Entertainment District Committee will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, September 19 at 6:00 pm at City Place, 14 S. Water Street in Frostburg, MD. The meeting will provide information about the upcoming required A&E district re-designation, due for completion in April 2019. Attendees will also be encouraged to share ideas and goals for the re-designation and address any challenges the district currently faces.

The current Frostburg Arts & Entertainment District includes sections from the Depot to Main Street, down to Bowery Street and up to Water Street and Locust Avenue, as well as portions of Frostburg State University campus and Center Street. The re-designation process involves examining the current boundaries and making necessary changes.

The meeting will also outline the benefits of the Arts & Entertainment District, including tax incentives for artists and art enterprises. The public, and in particular artists and/or owners of art enterprises are encouraged to attend to learn more about the district and be a part of the proposed changes.
