The 2022 Spring Arts Walk is fast approaching (we can’t believe its April already either)! This is our 12th Annual Spring Arts Walk, and every year we here at FrostburgFirst try to involve as much art as we can into our bustling celebration. We invite local artists, craft vendors, performers, musicians, and other creative minds to take up Downtown Frostburg and share their one-of-a-kind talents with our one-of-a-kind small town. This year, the Arts Walk will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and our local businesses will host artists of all kind, our streets will be filled with talent and innovative minds, and our Mountain Maryland community will celebrate the gifted minds from in and around Frostburg!

To say that we’re looking forward to the Arts Walk would be an understatement, so in the meantime, we’ve been taking a look back at Arts Walks past! The 2020 Fall Arts Walk looked a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that didn’t stop us from celebrating the arts! We blended virtual and in-person activities, allowing Downtown Frostburg to take it all in in whatever way they felt most safe! We streamed musical performances, virtual galleries, and artist demonstrations! The 2016 Spring Arts Walk made big waves, more specifically: airwaves! FrostburgFirst took to Record Talk Listen, a podcast, to discuss the then-upcoming celebration! For this Arts Walk, 26 small, local businesses hosted one or more artist each to allow them to showcase their products and talents! Everything kicked off with a public art dedication in front of the Frostburg Public Library, celebrating the third addition in a series of three public art projects throughout our town!

The Arts Walk is a staple of Downtown Frostburg, and we look forward to bringing you another vibrant celebration of all that our small town has to offer. Don’t forget, the 2022 Spring Arts Walk will take place on Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Look out for more information about the event here on our website, and on our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok pages!
