Warmer weather, blossoming flowers, and birds chirping. That’s right everyone- Spring is here! Being in the mountains during the cold winter months can leave us feeling stuck and in a not so cheery mood. However, as the snow is cast away far from us, we are able to do and experience so much in Downtown Frostburg! Art, music, and food are the best ways to easily transition along with the seasons and there are a lot of ways to indulge in these very things here!
Downtown, there are a lot of cozy restaurants with delicious food, great for a night out on the town or a family night out together. If you’re looking for some great local eats, head down to LG’s Pizzeria and Pub, Gianni’s, St. Cloud’s Ale House, or the Princess Restaurant. These only make up a portion of excellent restaurants in town!
Almost any night of the week in Frostburg you can perform karaoke, participate in open mic night, and see local artists perform! Some places to go downtown that have these festivities include Dante’s Bar, Mountain City Traditional Arts, and TNT Dakota Saloon. Make sure to keep an eye out for the many interesting nights that they host different events, in order to make time for a great time!
If you are interested in a more calm spring experience, head down to Main Street Books on Main Street and check out their great collections! With a constant wave of new and enlightening books to choose from, your mind will never go idle! Once you grab your book head to Mountain City Coffeehouse and Creamery or Clatter Coffee and settle in to a good book, good coffee, and sunshine!
There are a lot of things to do in Downtown Frostburg, and a lot of memories to make! Here you find a wide range of local entertainment, great local eats, and creative ways to appreciate and explore art. So step outside, absorb the warming weather, and remember that in Frostburg, no matter what time of year, it’s always cooler.
