Welcome back FSU students! Whether this is your first year at Frostburg State or you are a returning student we are so excited to have you join us for another great year in Downtown Frostburg. We have so many businesses and activities for you to explore that there will always be something fun to do no matter the season.
First and foremost, let’s talk about coffee and food. We all need it; we all love it, and we have some fantastic places here to satisfy just about any craving you have. Mountain City Coffeehouse and Creamery not only offers great coffee and espresso selections, but they also have a full menu of breakfast and lunch selections; and be sure to inquire about their vegetarian options while you’re there. Or, for those times when you just need to satisfy that sweet tooth is, Lorenzo’s Bakery. Offering up some delicious baked goods to go.
Exams getting you down? Feeling nostalgic for those carefree childhood days, stop by Generation of Toys (GOT TOYS) and revisit the past with some of your favorite childhood toys or pick up something new and exciting! Still in need of books for class? Or perhaps your favorite way to escape the stressors of life is to curl up with a good book and disappear into its pages for a while, Main Street Books has got you covered. With a wide selection to choose from you’re sure to find something here that you like.
Coming back to food, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Sand Springs Saloon and Steakhouse, a family owned and operated business that has been serving up some tasty dishes since 1994. Main Street is also home to Wholesome Harvest Co-op, the county’s only community owned and operated specialty grocery store. This quote on their website says it all, “We proudly stock high-quality, sustainable foods and specialty items, to serve as a community resource for special dietary and cultural food product needs, and to provide affordable options for healthy, wholesome foods.”
Another great thing about these businesses is that almost all of them accept Burg Bucks, the e-gift card
